Born and raised in Chicago, Avis moved to the burbs once she got older. Being naturally drawn to music, Avis has been lucky enough to have been around at the start up of several Chicago bands, which have gone on to major music success...and many many more musicians that have not. Although she considers herself rather eclectic, her tastes have become more selective over the years and her current shuffle might include bands such as Mates of State, Margot and the Nuclear So and So's, and Animal Collective. Avis is always up for new recommendations and she's always on the look out for her next favorite band.
