Northalsted Halloween Parade

If you want to see one of the most elaborate costume parades in the city then head out to Boys Town – that's Halsted between Belmont and Addison - for the city's most-attended Halloween events.

If you think you have what it takes to compete in the big time, register for the annual costume contest at SPIN Nightclub (800 W Belmont). A special prize will be awarded to the costume that best represents this year's parade theme, “Mad Hatter's Ball.” Judging will take place at Space Park (815 – 817 W Roscoe St.) which the Two Lights Theater Company will have transformed in Wonderland.

Anyone can participate in the parade – adults, children AND pets – as long as they are registered at 4:00 p.m. at SPIN and lined up by 6:00 p.m. to march.

In addition to the parade there will be a full day of activities at Agassiz School, Center on Halsted, Equality Illinois Offices and the Chicago Canine Rescue Group. There will also be trick-or-treating at Northalsted businesses from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
