It's time for another gallery night early warning!  While the weather might not be as favorable as it is every September for the fall season openings, January 8 introduces the 2010 winter season, and it's just as fun.  River North galleries make up the bulk of the galleries opening on the first Friday after New Year's, and since the galleries are close to one another, you won't even have to be outside much while hopping from space to space.  

Also, the Chicago Arts District keeps its 2nd Fridays going all year long, and their winter dates are as lively as their summer openings - some times more so!  So head down to Pilsen East after visiting River North - pick a fun spot for dinner like Simone's on 18th and enjoy a different part of town to start the new year!
