CorePower Yoga is Hot Hot Hot!

I think I just had an epiphany regarding procrastination.  Yesterday, after quite an extended absence, I had the perfect fitness activity to write about: CorePower Yoga and their “One Week Free” coupon available online at www.corepoweryoga.com.  After an exhausting day that included a barrage of phone calls at work and my very first car accident, I decided I would write in the morning. I wake up and lo and behold, the Groupon of the day is 70% off a month of CorePower Yoga.  CorePower is a unique yoga studio that combines heat, weight training, and classical yoga techniques to increase fitness levels, flexibility, and overall wellness.  Yoga usually bores me, but the combination of great music (think the Ultimate Mellow Break-up Mix) and 100-degree rooms really has me hooked.

The studio has a policy that every person must leave his/her wet, outdoor shoes at the door before stepping in, which keeps everything clean and dry from the wintery slush.  Modern and spacious locker rooms are available for both men and women, with locker keys available in exchange for an ID at the front desk.  Yoga mats are available for rent, but in the time of H1N1, I’d suggest bringing your own.  Bottled water and a towel are essentials that you should bring with you as well.

While CorePower says there is a difference between the hot yoga classes and everything else, know that all classes are in studios between 85-105 degrees.  Compared to your neighborhood gym, it’s all hot yoga.  In this dead winter cold, there is nothing better than walking into a toasty warm room with some Jason Mraz softly crooning over the speakers. The rooms are spacious, and have a floor that looks like wood, but is springy and forgiving on your joints.  Bring a towel to mop up the sweat, and if you had a lot of garlic the night before, don’t put your mat next to me.

If you are hesitant to buy the Groupon (or if you read this any day other than December 29th), try CorePower Yoga out by visiting their website and printing out the one week free coupon available for all new clients at every location. If you love it, not only will you get an email offer for 50% off one month of unlimited yoga, you will also receive a “second week free” coupon for filling out a survey regarding your experience.
