Today was the day to truly go back in history and do the final removal of those items from the past.

As most couples living in downtown Chicago can appreciate- storage becomes your best friend. For us it truly has become our sanctuary, that place that we can take those “yet to go though bags of paper”, those boxes from “the past” or just those items that we are “saving” and can’t wait to take to our yet to be determined new home.

Today though was our chance to clear out as much of the “from the past boxes” as possible. This is the part of getting married that is so incredibly rewarding yet something you just never thought about when you were in your 20’s and buying “everything” you wanted for your home.

I am not sure about those brides to be reading this, but I too always thought I would be married by 25 and so I waited and waited and then by 30 I just said the heck with waiting I want my “grown-up” home but then guess who came knocking at my door…
