This is my favorite time of year....The Chicago International Film Festival!  Most do not know that the Chicago International Film Festival is the longest running festival in North America. I have been a volunteer for about 10 years and served on the Junior Board for three years, the festival is very near and dear to my heart.

This year, the films look great and the website has gotten significantly better. Now, you can log on and build your schedule online, which is a pretty cool functionality.  Opening night is Thursday and the red carpet entry starts at 6p. It always fun to watch everyone filing in for the film. This year should be especially thrilling because Uma Thurman is supposed to be at the film and the post party event at The Wit Hotelo!

The festival always gives Chicagoans a glimpse of Hollywood with the various A list stars who have attended the various galas, screenings and events throughout the years.
