Marketing Coordinator
YouSwoop.com, Chicago's new daily deal website, is looking for two people with a vivacious drive who are goal-oriented, self starters who are adept at working independently as well as in a collaborative group setting. Must have a thirst for achieving goals and be comfortable and successful at being persistent, ambitious and optimistic.​ A background in sales and/or meeting quotas is ideal. A deep understanding and comfort using multiple types of social media is required. The purpose of this position is to grow our subscriber base for YouSwoop through community outreach efforts predicated on developing partnership with individuals, businesses and online communities in and around Chicago. This position will bring rich experience in self-management, communications, leadership and client interactions.
Marketing Coordinators will be responsible for implementing YouSwoop's online marketing strategy--the goal of which is to precipitously grow our subscriber base. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Predominately online-based work in which you develop marketing partnerships across all terrains of the internet including social media, the blogosphere, non-affiliated niche-groups in Chicago, etc
Canvassing forums and social media with our brand with the purpose of driving subscribers
Partner relationship management
Coordinating with partners and community events
*Performance will be regularly evaluated to ensure maximum effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Excellent writing and verbal skills
Superior time management and follow through; ability to multi-task and prioritize work schedules. to meet goals.
Excellent salesperson who embraces cold lead generation and followup via phone and email/
Strong business analytic skills and advanced Internet research skills.
Creative problem solver.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet strict quotas and deadlines.
Professional.
The position requires 30+ hours a week. Pay will be hourly and supplemented by performance-based compensation that is uncapped. The position will be a Contractor position for a period of 3-6 months at which point a formal review will be made to determine a fit for long-term employment
