House of Bread Grand Opening

Carb Lovers' Heaven

Recommended by Michelle Connelly

If you’re currently on the Atkins diet, you probably shouldn't read on...unless you want to break the 18g of carbs rule. However, for those of us who consider carbs to be a vital part of our existence, this event should not be missed. Check out the Grand Opening of a great new bakery in Wheeling called The House of Bread.  At this grand opening you’ll be able to try many different samples of oven baked warm bread. If you find something that you like, you’ll be able to purchase loaves of bread at a reduced price of $2 per loaf all day. An added bonus is that they’ll also be serving free pastries and apple cider. As the House of Bread’s website says, “Man can’t live on bread alone, or can he?” This event is definitely setting out to prove that men (and women too) can sometimes subside on bread, pastries, and lots of carbs.

Insider Info: In addition to having great free samples, the grand opening of the House of Bread will also feature some live music. DJ Roma L.V. will be at this event from noon-2 PM and then from 4 PM-6PM, so be sure to stop by during these times! You’ll have the chance to win some free gift certificates to the House of Bread as well.  The House of Bread also has  members’ club that you can join on their website, if you find that you enjoy your time in carbohydrate heaven at this event.
