Among the street fests of the summer, Taste of Randolph is one of the best for food lovers. Head to Randolph St. (west of Peoria St.) in the West Loop, which is often dubbed "Restaurant Row" considering the hefty amount of good quality restaurants in the area. Get ready to soak up some sun, music, and above all good eats. Among the restaurants to sample are De Cero, La Sardine, and Veerasway. Chef demonstrations include one sixty blue's Michael McDonald and Red Light's Jackie Shen.
Insider Info: The food rocks, but the $10 donation won't make food alone the only reason to attend. Check out the headliners for each day to determine when to go. The Hold Steady on Sunday is my personal recommendation if you want something to battle that food coma. They were ridiculous at Pitchfork last year and are well worth the $10.
