It's time for the fifth installment of the Gold Coast Film Festival. Described as a film fest created by the guys next door, this festival will feature films from founders Mark Rewey and Greg Schoer, Kevin Boehm from Boka Restaurant Groups, Celebrity Chef Graham Elliot and many more. This is an evening of high fashion, cocktails, and cult-status underground films in Chicago. One of the films is called Golden Spoon, which is about a fictional James Beard-like awards ceremony and even features a song called "Super Chef" that spoofs Rachael Ray. Guests will enjoy a red carpet entrance and pre-party at Landmark before the film festival starts at 8:00 PM at the Royal George Theatre next door.
Insider Info: Tickets are available at eventbrite for $35 in advance and $40 the night of the show. Tickets include two free drinks and appetizers at Landmark. If you would like to dine at Landmark before the event, film festival attendees receive three courses (any three off the menu) for $35.00. It also really helps that Landmark and The Royal George Theatre are neighbors. I had a chance to talk to Boka Restaurant Group restaurateur, Kevin Boehm, and he told me the after party at Landmark after the festival is also legendary and should not be missed!
