I still believe that The Prentice Ball was the best event of 2009. That being said, you can image how excited I was to hear that this very same group, Friends of Prentice, will be kicking off an inaugural event this weekend. Glasses will be flowing with the famous Piper Heidsieck Champagne as guests mingle from 8:00-11:00 pm at Chicago’s own Le Passage. The evening will boast a raffle, gift bags, marathon registration and a very special Akira Fashion Show that will conclude the night’s festivities. Revenue from the Gala will continue to support critical initiatives at Northwestern Memorial Hospital’s Prentice Women’s Hospital in Chicago.

Insider Info: VIP Tables are available for $50 and $150, with Platinum Tables at $650, which also include a limited edition Crystal Louboutin Stiletto. The world renowned Champagne House, Piper-Heidsieck, and the much coveted shoe designer, Christian Louboutin have come together to bring back to life the 19th century celebration called “tournee’ des grands Ducs” which was a gallant ritual which consisting of drinking champagne from the shoe of one’s favorite courtesan.
