Last week, sardonic was one of my students' vocabulary words. This week, this same preparatory ACT word perfectly describes David Sedaris. Perhaps you've heard his witicisms on NPR, or chuckled over a twistedly humorous Santa Clause story in Holidays on Ice. Regardless, you have heard of David Sedaris. Sedaris will be stopping by Chicago in early June. During the event at Steppenwolf, he will read from his to be released in October next novel: Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk: A Modest Bestiary. Per the usual for book events, Sedaris will also engage in a Q&A and book signing. Get your copy of Me Talk Pretty Some Day ready.
Insider Info: Tickets go on sale April 28 (11 a.m.). If you are a Steppenwolf subscriber, you can take advantage of the pre-sale and get your tickets early (by phone only, April 26th, 11 a.m.).
