Feathers will fly as Chicago celebrates International Pillow Fight Day at Pioneer Court (at about 401 N Michigan Ave) with a battle to end all battles. Come decked out in whatever garb you prefer – Storm trooper, Madonna, the Cadburry Bunny – and get ready to pummel your fellow celebrants with pillows! International Pillow Fight Day was founded by The Urban Playground Movement, a grassroots group that organizes playful events in large public spaces. (They organized that mobile clubbing event in the London train station.) However, we can thank Pillow Fight Club Chicago for bringing the event to The Windy City. And since this promises to be a fairly messy event, Pillow Fight Club Chicago is asking participants to stick around afterwards to help with the clean up. Good times and socially responsibility!
Insider Info: For more pillow fighting fun, check out the Pillow Fight Club’s “Golden Pillow” Burlesque Pillow Fighting World Championship at Joe’s on Weed Street April 1 – 9. Twelve ladies of burlesque will battle it out in seven bouts while Chicago comedians provide colorful commentary. Tickets are $15 for General Admission, $20 for Ringside Seating and $25 for VIP Table Seating. Visit www.PFCLive.com for more details.
